The 15th chamber of South Cairo Criminal Court, held at Abdeen Court, has decided to postpone Considering Nazra's appeal against the Asset freeze order to the 14th of September, 2019 which is the same day the Court will look into the request to overturn the travel ban decision imposed on feminist activist and Executive Director of Nazra for Feminist Studies, Mozn Hassan.

It's worth mentioning that North Cairo Elementary Court ordered a freeze on Nazra's moveable and immoveable assets based on a request by the Invistigative Judge of the Case 173/2011, widely known as "the foreign funding case".

The asset freeze on Nazra has been an unprecedented escalation as Nazra is the only NGO in Case 173/2011 that received such order, and it is the first incident in the history of NGOs working on women issues to be targeted through an asset freeze.

Nazra has been targeted under the Case 173/2011, as a travel ban has been issued against its Founder and Executive Director, Mozn Hassan in June 2016 and was targeted with an asset freeze in January 2017. Hassan is, along with Nazra for Feminist Studies, a laureate of the Right Livelihood Award, also known as the Alternative Noble Prize for their contributions working on women issues.
